The wave and the ocean

Once upon a time a wave named 'Steve' began arising in the ocean. As it gained momentum and size at surface level, it claimed, 'I am Steve, and I am the greatest wave there ever was.'

To this the ocean replied, 'Of course you are'.

Steve continued, 'There has never been a wave like me, and the whole world shall sing my praise. I am greater than the ocean. I am the ocean.'

To this the ocean replied, 'Sure you are'. Incidentaly these were the last words Steve heard as it reached a rocky shore and broke into a billion droplets before being reabsorbed by the ocean.

Not long after, in that same ocean, a wave named 'Bob' began arising. As it gained momentum and size at surface level, it claimed, 'I am Bob, and I am the greatest wave there ever was.'

In a way, we are all waves in the ocean of consciousness.

May we all rise and dissolve with absolute awareness.

ps: forms come and go; you are so much more than a physical body. Love the body, care for it, don't obsess about it.

Love life, honor it by being impeccably and absolutely you, and again, don't obsess about it.
