Dance of Gratitude

The dance of Gratitude is a shamanic dance, or a medicine people dance, in which movement, sound, rhythm and certain supportive props are used to guide energy and intention, in a process that is evolutionarily transformational and uplifting.

It is a ritual I perform in order to ‘harmonize’, or ‘harmoniously unite’ my receptive and active aspects of self. These aspects are also referred to as feminine and masculine.

In short it is as dance that honors receptivity, sensitivity, as well as willpower, impeccable intentions and actions –both within and outwardly.

At soul level, the dance unites my relatively limited incarnated consciousness with that of Spirit, or Supreme consciousness, or Source, or Goddess, or God -what one calls it doesn't matter.

As far as my incarnated vessel, the body, is concerned, the dance roots me in the supportive embrace of Mother Earth, and opens me to the infinite and to the eternal limitlessness of conscious creative potential -expressed as Mother Cosmos.

In my particular dance, I use a long stick, (broomstick size) to generate directional vortexes of momentum, as well as dynamically drawn and sustained boundaries around my subtle energetic body.

The use of the stick makes it easier for me to perform my ritual in a state of consciousness that is opened to the subtle realms. Because as soon as I open myself to the subtle realms, I start attracting ethereal entities that appear to be floating about in space, never too far from the ground.

Some of these entities are usually attached to incarnated individuals, or to places. They are usually very attracted to incarnated beings who are (consciously or unconsciously) partially invested in the subtle realms. These are your shamans, medicine people, healers, empaths, mediums, clairvoyants, etc.

These entities are highly active at night. I was told that they are active when the collective slips into the dream state, as it is a bridge between the subtle dimensions of being and the dimension we call reality.

During the dance, I shield myself using the long stick to avoid entering into direct contact with these entities, as I find that they carry, project and pass on a great deal of heavy, painful and unpleasant emotions (usually having to do with regret, guilt, shame, anger, rage, etc).

Being that I’m not a naturally grounded-in-reality being myself, I have a low threshold when it comes to handling and processing their emotions. I’ve found in my years of practical research on the subject that people with a shorter build, or a heavier or bulkier body tend to be more resilient when it comes to such encounters -of course, this is a generalization, and not a law.

Besides being a ritual that is useful to me, the dance of gratitude has a second purpose which is beneficial to these ‘lost’ entities, as the dance itself helps them leave the material realm of the living and proceed to the soulful dimension they are meant to have gone to after dying.

The way this works is as follows: The movement, effort and a sustained intention to connect with Spirit generates a tunnel that links me to the higher Soulful dimensions. This tunnel works like a whirlpool, or syphon, or vortex that leads these entities upwards when they get closer.

This ritual was taught to me by a medicine woman, as an alternative to working with fire (and smoke) as a medium. Apparently, I’m not to use fire in relation to spiritual practices. For me it is either air, or wind for an upwards connection, and water for a downward grounding.

Certain locations are highly supportive to this sort of work. Others aren’t. It is usually important to know which is which. The best locations are set karmically, through time and space, meaning they have been ‘sanctified’, or used as sacred grounds by many generations of people in the past. This gives them a great charge.

The absolute best locations are ones that were charged energetically by nature, a very long time ago, and were used by Atlantean sea-faring settlers. These usually present themselves in the form of natural domes, or pyramids. The Tamraght area along with its surroundings, set in a dome like shape, happens to be one of these.

While there is so much more to add, I will stop here. I will add some more on the entities tomorrow, if I'm still around.

May you all be uplifted no matter how your life journeys unfold.

We are One.
