Fractal symbiosis

We are the mirror reflection of our larger environment.

The way we relate to our planet and to its other inhabitants is the way we relate to our own individual bodies, minds, psyches, and collective social structures.

Dumping hazardous, toxic pollutants and waste outwardly, we do the same with our own societies, bodies and minds.

As a species, our behaviors on all levels are quite unhealthy, and irresponsible.

Caught in the maddening trip of self-centeredness, and the fear of being annihilated, we are participating very rashly and selfishly within the greater environment that houses and sustains us.

There is a lot of talk about putting resources into turning the moon and Mars into habitable stations (for when we totally ruin this biosphere of ours).

Although, I'm suspecting that the reasons behind such projects aren't really what we're fed by the PR specialists and mainstream media channels, I'll go with the story that is presented to the voting masses of tax-payers.

So let's say that we are getting ready to invest astronomical sums of money in such a project to engineer earth-resembling living conditions on the moon, or more probably, Mars. I suppose that the resources that would be put in this endeavor would have to be highly substantial... perhaps substantial enough to be used to help this very biosphere of ours heal from what we've done to it (I mean as a collective).

This reminds me of a saying that goes something like this: 'Wherever you go, there you are.'

May we all feel at home within the loving embrace of our blue planet.
